Journaling: You are such a big boy now. When we take you to the park you climb up the steps all by yourself to the top so you can go down the slide, all by yourself. You always pick the spiral slide. I don’t know why since you grab the side as you go down and end up turning onto your stomach. From that position you slowly go down with your shoes squeaking from the friction of you trying to slow yourself down or trying to push yourself down (I do not know which you are trying to do). Daddy (or mommy) is always waiting at the bottom of the slide to catch you, but you are moving so slow we are not needed. You get down from the slide without help and immediately head for the stairs to go down again. You are so adorable as you repeat your action endlessly (if we let you). But mommy (or daddy) always has to go to the top with you are you will cry, even though you don’t need our help to go down the slide.
