Sewing Room Renovations – Week 2

This week we are taking a bit of a break from renovations. My husband had to go back to work so anything that gets done I have to do by myself.

I started with painting the bare concrete walls and floor with a waterproof paint made for concrete and masonry. This will help prevent moisture from seeping through the cement.

However this paint has very strong fumes. YOU MUST WEAR A MASK to paint with this product (DRYLOK® Extreme Masonry Waterproofer). I did one coat on just the walls with a roller (need to go in with a brush too) when my eyes started stinging. I guess I need goggles to. I couldn’t stand the mask anymore (claustrophobia) so my husband finished the painting this weekend (he is so sweet).

It now looks a lot brighter.
