I really miss autumn. Things I miss:
- The color of the leaves
- The brisk air
- Not being able to wear my sweaters or jackets
Another reason I miss autumn is because all the things listed above set the mood for the holiday season. It doesn’t feel like October for me and it’s my favorite month. So for the past 3 years I have missed my October. It hasn’t happened in my mine. Thanksgiving and Christmas also feel ruined. Where is the snow? We always had snow before Christmas. Sometimes it snowed on Halloween. I miss the snow.
Okay I am just having one of my homesick moments.

Last night we went to a Halloween party. It was very crowded and they had a hay game inside! Talk about major hay fever. They even had to call the medics for one lady! I almost could breath. I am stilling suffering from it. Anyway I made this layout from photos I took last night. We won the family costume contest!

Journaling: It was October 26, 2007. You were wearing the costume I made you, a knight. You looked adorable. Ready to save any damsel in distress. We had gone to the Seymour-Johnson AFB Halloween Block Party. You entered the ages 1-3 costume contest but didn’t win. But we did win the family contest. We wouldn’t have won it without such our adorable Knight in Shining Armor. You were so happy in your costume, swinging you sword around and almost hitting bystanders. I plan to make you a costume every Halloween.

I made a costume for my son. I still have some details to finish but I thought I would share some photos. First this is what it’s suppose to look like (top right costume).

And here is what my son’s costume looks like:

He hated the hood so he may not wear it. Here are some photos without the hood.
