Well yesterday was Mother’s Day. I did get some work done on a special project I am working on. But otherwise my son was at his worse yesterday. He didn’t eat his breakfast. He cried and screamed all day. I went to Wal-mart to pick up some milk and though maybe I would buy something nice for me but he ran off and I spent a heart stopping minute searching for him. We left then. Never ever will I go to Wal-mart without using a cart! He then wouldn’t take his nap. Screamed some more. I was suppose to cook dinner since my husband wasn’t going to be home until after 6:30pm. I didn’t because of my son’s screaming gave me a horrible headache and the fact that it was pork for dinner and I really really didn’t want it since I can’t chew it (that is a whole other story which you will here about soon).

Anyway today my son is a little calmer, although he got up at 6am again. Also the sound of our cat, Pip, vomiting in our kitchen woke me up at 5am. Not a good morning. So now I am looking at all the wonderful kits for that I saw this past week so I can share them with you and it’s making my day brighter.

Songbird Avenue has another kit this month and as always it is fantastic!

Take Flight is created by the previous collaborators at Songbird Avenue: The Shabby Princess, Dianne Rigdon, Gina Miller, Robin Carlton, Carrie Stephens, Nancie Rowe-Janitz, Amy Wolff, Jenna Desai, Jacque Larson, Kate Hadfield, Michelle Coleman, Shabby Miss Jenn, Susan Bartolini, Kate Teague, Leora Sanford, Meredith Fenwick, Jan Crowley and Janet Phillips. All the money made will be donated to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Today I found another great kit by Jeann Gaidecki. The colors in Mommy, i will always love you caught my eye immediately. I am always looking for non-pink kits that would work great for layouts of my son (and me too since I am not a fan of pink). I just love all the texture and realistic elements. I just can’t wait to get my hands on it (of course that is figuratively since it is digital). Maybe I will have to break into my savings account…

Also there is an Add-on with some great word-art. I will have to get that too. I am a sucker for add-ons!

Now today I thought I would share a freebie I found. On the Shutterfly Digi Scrap Blog, Emily Powers has a quickpage and paper pack available for free. It is part of the Momtourage freebie collaborative kit by WeAreStorytellers so they will be posting more of it.

Being broke makes this a little harder to do each week, since I won’t be able to purchase all the great finds and share with you some layouts. But I won’t let that stop me from sharing what I have seen and added to my wishlist.

The first item I MUST share are Tracy Blankenship’s Templates with Attitude series. I own Set 12 and it is absolutely fantastic! I just love her templates. I have used them for a few of my layouts (My Favorite Things, Priceless, and Cool Shades).

When I saw the Handmade Lover Collection “Flower Garden” by Jeann Gaidecki in the DigiChick Boutique’s new products e-mail, I just had to go to their store and add it to my wishlist. I really like the colors, they will work even on a boy page (at least that is what I would end up using them on, if I could buy them :( , I don’t even have $3 to buy them). I just can’t wait to get them myself and as soon I do I plan on sharing my layout with you.

Yesterday I was checking out the blogs of some of my commenters and I made this great find on one of those blogs. I really like Lynn Grieveson’s Vintage Tape Measures. They would be great for adding a little vintage and/or texture to any layout. A great substitute for ribbon too! I really wish I could buy these!!!

Just one more item I want to mention. I bought Shelleyrae’s Grab Bag! 7 for only $3 (that used the last of my scrap funds). And it was worth every penny and more! It’s definitely a great buy, but it’s only available until April 18th.
