Journaling: Lately you have been wanting to pick out the clothes you will wear that day. Normally I end up picking out the pants and you just chose the shirt, but when daddy is dressing you, you get to pick out the pants too. Well I am sorry to have to tell you that you do not have very good fashion sense. Blue socks with camo shorts? Bright green shirt with camo pants? Worn red shirt with bright red shorts? Since you are only 2, you can get away with it.

Your New Bed

Journaling: When your toddler bad started to fall apart, we decided to buy you a new bed. We already had a frame for a full size bed, so we only had to buy a mattress and box spring. Once we had your new bed assembled, you got so excited! It is hard to get you to take your nap now. You just keep bringing toys and books onto your bed and play instead of napping. I have often found you asleep with books or on toys you even fell out of bed one night since you seem to like to sleep at the foot of the bed. Hopefully one day you will sleep in your bed with out toys and at the head of the bed.

Here is a fun layout I made. My son has been throwing tantrums almost every second of the day…

Caution

Journaling: At any moment this heart-breaking face can become one of an absolute terror of a toddler. Approach with caution. Wear safety goggles and ear plugs at all times.

Journaling: When it came to naming you we had not trouble choosing a name. We both loved the name Liam. I never even looked up the meaning of your name. I knew it was an Irish nickname for William so I assumed it meant the same as William. Today I looked up the meaning of your name and I was right. It has the same meaning as William. It means “will, desire” and “helmet, protection”. The name was introduced to the British by the Normans. After that, William became very popular and sometimes over used. It’s a strong name. So Liam carries that tradition of a strong name without everyone having your name when you start school. Liam makes you unique from all the Williams and it speaks of your Irish ancestors. That is why you are Liam Patrick Duffy Jones, you can’t get anymore Irish than that.
