I had just gotten home from a long walk with Liam and Casey. Liam rode in the stroller while Casey slept in a baby sling. I was exhausted and had to sit down. I hadn’t even taken off the sling. I looked down at Casey and saw she was awake. The look on her face and how she held her hand made me smile. I just had to take a picture. Here is my layout with those pictures.

Journaling: The best gift I got this year for Mother’s Day, was the birth of my beautiful daughter. Casey came into the world unexpectly at home instead of at the birth center, as planned, but that just makes her more special. She was eager to see the world and nothing was going to stop her. I hope see continues to be so eager about life and that her future experiences are just as surprising as her birth.

Journaling: Geaba and Liam played a game of honking noses. Geaba’s nose would go honk and Liam nose would go beep. It was so cute. At first, Geaba made all the noises of the honks, but after awhile Liam would say beep when ever his own nose was honked. These memories are precious and will never be forgotten.
