Songbird Avenue’s July charity kit is fantastic!!! This month Dani Mogstad joined the Songbird designers to create this beautiful kit for charity. I love the colors and the worn style of Endless Summer. I will be using this kit to scrapbook my vacation photos! And the best part is that it benefits S.A.F.E. House.

I have found a new favorite designer recently, Shabby Miss Jenn. I just love her designs. So when I won a $10 GC for use in her store I had a hard time choosing only $10 worth of kits (I couldn’t afford to buy more but I have added more to my wishlist). So here are the two kits I got:

I just loved the Wild Animals kit! The animal elements are adorable! I also think the papers and other elements are fab too! Great for trips to the zoo, but all for those layouts of your kids doing crazy things! Like in my layout below…

Lil Guys kit is soooo adorable! I just love the sweet colors. Amusingly I found that one of the pattern papers matched a plaid shirt my son was wearing in one of my photos. So I absolutely had to use it when I scrapped that photo:

Journaling: Liam, you just love to slide. You could slide all day! The same slide over and over again, even though the slide twists so much you usually have to shimmy down most of the way. Sometimes you will have me go down with you. I practically have to curl into a ball, with you inside to get down the twisty slide at any speed faster than a stand still. You don’t mind. You never want to go down the other sides, the short steep slide or the tunnel slide. Maybe you are scared of those slides, the twisty slide is so much slower.

There are so many events going on this week that I am going to miss out on. Oh well, at least I will have all my exciting events to look forward to!
Now to get to the Monday Pick Me Ups. I usually go through my Kaboodle list to find out what I want or bought lately. I often try to look through my friends’ lists too. If you would like to add me as your friend feel free to you can find my lists at: http://www.kaboodle.com/aunrea.

I’m going to start with the adorable kit by NitWit Collections. It’s called Spaced Out Collection and I just love it! I would love to use this for my son’s pages. Astronomy has alway been a hobby in my family so this is
great, but even if you are not interest in Astronomy it will work for all sorts of pages. There is also a bunch of coordinating items: Space Speak Alphawit, Space Talk Alphawit, Spaced Out Solids, Spaced Out Too, and Spaced Out Lil Bits.
I just added Hipster Moms by Shabby Miss Jenn to my wishlist today. Why did I add it to my wishlist? Because I love the colors, the style and the title! Yes I said title. Something about the title “Hipster Moms” drew me in. But of course the colors, unique looking items (take a close look at some of those buttons and trims!) and most of all that it’s not overly feminine (I really do not have a use for very feminine kits).
When I saw Wonder Filled Day by Cherie Shields I thought “Wow!” I haven’t seen anything like this elements kit (doesn’t mean it’s the only one like it since I am not all seeing
). I love the whimsical feel of it. It reminds me of children’s crafts (especially mine when I was a child). I also really like the foil, instead of having it paper or fabric. Just something a little different.
I thought the Aged Crayon Alphabet by Jackie Eckles was very cute. I could defiantly see me using it for layouts of my son.

Journaling: You have owned these binoculars for over a year now and have never used them before, you didn’t know how! But now you have figured it out and are looking at the world in a new and different way. You run around the house, looking at everything through the binoculars. You even sit on the couch and watch TV through them. You are so cute when you are looking through, especially when you are using them backwards!
