Figure in Charcoal

This piece was created in my Drawing III class, where the focus was on studying and capturing the human form. Using charcoal, I explored the figure through expressive line work and bold shading, emphasizing the body’s structure, weight, and gesture. The rich contrasts and fluid marks convey both anatomical accuracy and emotional presence, aiming to capture not just the figure’s form but its vitality. This drawing reflects my continued development in observational skills and my growing ability to communicate depth and movement through minimal, powerful materials.
